Shabby Chic has been a go-to style for many antique mall sellers.
If it's still your style, you still have customers and you still want to sell it, here's a story from Houzz on updating the style that could lead to more sales for you.
When I (Inis) was writing the book, Selling in an Antique Mall, I contacted Rachel Ashwell to ask her about painting furniture. She, or most likely her people, responded that she no longer advocated painting furniture. She preferred keeping it in it's found state whether that be existing painted layers or natural wood. That was good news to me since I truly loathe painting. ;)
Let me know what you think about the story. I'd also like to know if Shabby Chic is still going strong where you sell.
